Gokarna is a very quiet place.
Gokarna is a very quiet place. If you rent a scooter you will enjoy so much your stay driving everywhere. There are several beaches for all tastes, good spots for sunrises and sunsets and good local food.ÈliaSpain - 4.0Scored 4.0

Did not like it and would not recommend. Can't put my finger on it but it has a weird vibe- I think it's that there are a lot of restaurants along the beach, but they are quite deserted, so there is not much of a buzz and feels a bit eerie. The main Gorkarna beach was quite dirty. Kudle beach was cleaner, but there was still a pile of rubbish to the side. Lots of cows on the beach so lots of cow poop. There are some beautiful parts to it, but not worth it for me. I'd go to Goa instead.

Gokarna is the ideal place for leisure holidays. It offers a lot like temples, road trips, monuments but highlight for me was beachside treks. It's amazing experience, one must try. It is clean and comfortable. There is no bar or communal seating area outside. On a very busy crossroads so noisy most of the time. Food from room service was largely good. It was nice to have a balcony. I’m beach is 6km away.

The staff was super friendly and helped us on arrival with a scooter. Check in was easy and fast . The pool was clean and big / deep enough for swimming and with openings in the evening . The food offered in the restaurant was very good and tasty , breakfast time was little late for us so no comment on this . We went to the beach area and found a local restaurant.

Nice social atmosphere in the hammocks hanging everywhere under the coconut trees in the shade. Cold water showers only but you can get a Bucket of hot water if you want- we certainly didn’t need it. Gokarna is hot. Reception staff is lovely, very good service and attitude. They helped with hiring a Scooty and bus transport and lent us a battery charger too.

The location is a little out of Gokarna and not on an actual road. you have to walk a 50 metres or so along the beach to reach the accommodation. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you. Although hot water isn't on tap in the shower if you ask one of the staff they will provide you withe a bucket full of hot water.
