Airlie Beach never fails to impress me, gateway to Whitsundays.
Airlie beach hotel is awesome for live music and fantastic food. Definitely recommend KCs too for their live music and awesome steaks.
Airlie lagoon is a great spot to spend an hour or three swimming or just lazing about.

Always a good trip to Airlie.
Always a good trip to Airlie. Weather was a bit wanky but otherwise great, plenty to see and do regardless. If you are keen on some outdoor and open water activities, Airlie is the place to be. Family-friendly with a great night life for the single crowd, there's something for everyone. Plenty of great places to explore, a variety of food options, and an overall great town for the general day to day. Living less than 2 hours away does make it a go-to for a quick getaway, and choices range from camping to hotels to Air BnB stays, there really is a place to suit everyone. Town is always vibrant and busy with something going on.

What a great place to visit.
What a great place to visit. The weather is great, the town is abuzz with great bars and restaurants. The Airlie lagoon is a great place for kids to swim. The Coral sea marina is a magic place to hang out at night to relax and enjoy some fine dining. The Garden Bar, Sorrento and the Rocks are great places to start.
Getting around Airlie is so easy. Taxis run constantly and are readily available. Most resorts run shuttles 3 to 4 times a day into the Airlie lagoon and airport transfers can be organised depending on the where you're staying.

I Need Airlie Beach!
I Need Airlie Beach! It has destressed me many times after extreme personal or work stress.
The view, the perfect water temps in unheated pools, the ten minute rain storms that give way to a perfect day.
It is better to stay at Airlie Beach, in my opinion, than on the islands, as they offer greater amenities and diversity, plus you still have to charter a boat from an Island or the mainland anyway. Tip for the island resorts: Offer discounted or all inclusive water charter packages and advertise it heavily, or find yourselves derelict facilities bought by a Chinese Company.
Always check the weather. Bad weather or Coral spawning night means poor water clarity.
Don't swim where the locals won't, due to crocs and Wear your Stinger suit. A box jellyfish came within a foot of me a week ago before I saw it and I have been snorkelling since 1985, spending countless hours and a total of four weeks camping on Lady Musgrave Island.
Don't book during the wet season if you are not prepared to be dissatisfied with a patch of bad weather. Do your research.

Flight and day out on boat including snorkeling - would highly recommend Ocean Rafting company for this - superb!
Good assortment of bars and restaurants in town - highly recommend Eastwood restaurant for Asian Fusion food
Day trip to Hamilton Island well worth it.
Tracy, the owner is very friendly. View from the balcony across Cannonvale Beach is spectacular. Everything you need is there - 2 bedrooms, kitchen/living room, balcony, swimming pool, laundry. Next door is the Fat Frog cafe with excellent food & coffee. We had a room overlooking the sea. Not really a swimming beach as quite rocky and the tide goes out a long way. Nearby Shingley Beach is better for swimming but we prefer the lagoon at Airlie Beach (No stngers!!) All good. This is solid 3 star accommodation.
Pete is the nicest man I met on my travels from Melbourne to Airlie Beach. I was towing a large boat, Pete drove out from the property and guided me to wear to safely park the boat, and showed me where I was staying. He called to make sure I could find the place and was super friendly. I was amazed at the view from my room and it reminded me of a Bed and Breakfast I stayed in Rome, with the swimming pool inside! Great place - Thanks Pete!
Everything! Staff are awesome! Bar and food is awesome! Room was spotless, possibly just been redecorated it's so clean! The bed was unbelievable! Best bed we have stayed in for our whole trip and this is including the apartments and hotels we stayed in. Aircon was perfect. Two pools to choose from both clean, not even a leaf floating on the surface! Close to all shops, lagoon and port for whitsundays. Honestly faultless
Every single staff member was so friendly, the rooms had what you needed and a full kitchen and lounge area for everyone to use was great for cooking with stove, condiments, every electric appliance you could think of.
Extra blankets and towels were no problem, the pool area was awesome with the kids and so much better than a hotel. We will be back for sure, so close to shops and short drive to Airlie Beach centre
Lovely space to stay while in Airlie Beach. Pool was nice to relax around. Close vicinity to main area (bit of a walk up the hill on warm days- but cheap to get a taxi back if needed!). Reception staff were always very nice and organised airport shuttles for us. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!
Spacious room, water views (it said 'ocean views' in the room description, but our room overlooked the bay and the Airlie Beach township, but it was still lovely), the hotel and breakfast staff (some of the staff in The Rocks weren't as friendly), the location and access to The Rocks Pool Club.
Sea Star Apartments are beautiful, comfortable, well maintained, appliances all working, location is peaceful and the view is heavenly! Loved the infinity pool, balcony with table and chairs, helpful staff. Made our stay in Airlie Beach carefree and we hope to return! Thank you.
Rude receptionist icancelled the bookng twice booking with all accor and re booked with booking.com after recieveing rude and arrogant phone calls from the mantra receptionist i wouldnt have stayed there except for limited availability in airlie beach at the time
Great location, super clean, and smack bang in the middle of Airlie Beach. Right outside our room there’s a public playground. Perfect for kids to play and for parents who want to relax in the comfort of their own balcony with a drink while still keeping watch.
Beautiful hillside location away from the bustle of Airlie Beach
Lovely landscaping
Campfire at each cabin made for a special evening experience
Complimentary bottle of fizz was well received after a long drive
Perfect quiet location with beautiful views and easy walking distance from Airlie Beach's main street. Lovely host, lovely & clean accommodation, would definitely stay here again!
The nicest hotel in Airlie with the best location. Great food offerings and atmosphere at the Pub. Not the most modern hotel, but very classy and elegant.
Beautiful large apartments and complex, with a lovely quiet pool and only minutes away from the Airlie beach town centre and marina. Clean and luxurious.
