great location near Bodrog and Tisza river, good restaurants with a lot of fish in menu, great landscapes of vineyards and water, picturesque and romantic walks. We ate at Bonchidai Csárda, good service, they moved very fast, great price and good food.

I like to cycle and I got lucky with the pleasant weather. I hired a bike and went to Sárospatak. On my way I could visit several small villages, some of them along the river Bodrog, really very picturesque.
I don't drink wine but of course Tokaj is the center of its' famous (sweet) wines, and several 'pince' are present to let you taste those wines.

Tokaj is at least regionally famous for its wine and ambience. The town itself is really two parts, one interesting and older and resembling a Mediterranean seaside locale (tourists, entertainment) and one more for the locals (houses/blocks). Tokaj might be more globally well-known (and visited) if it were more accessible from Western Europe and the US but as it stands, it's also not overrun and yet still offers a lot to see and do for a weekend trip. A car, though, is mandatory as most of the attractions outside of the town itself are at least 20-60 minutes away (especially the wineries). Also, communication in English in shops and restaurants in the town itself is nearly non-existent as are real vegetarian (not fish) options. Quite odd for such a high-quality wine region. I would expect all of that to change in time, but for now, the experience is one of visiting a completely foreign location. That's good but also different. All the Hungarians we met were exceptionally hospitable, patient and helpful, so even language was no problem. Besides wine (and admittedly, it's most of the reason to be there), other activities include boat and rafting trips, lovely walks in the surrounding hills, and eating, food from fast to fancy. There's a little sightseeing train that has a refreshingly thorough route and a few hotels with pools or spa options available to non-guests. Overall, Tokaj is a great weekender or part of a longer regional trip.

This UNESCO world heritage town deserves a visit, of course, for his excellent wineries in a pastorale environment.
There are a few good restaurants but not really international food.
Seems to be nice for biking, hiking and kayaking - we had no time for this.

An amazing place, one of the most unique wine regions in the world. Tourism is not very developed, which is great on one end, but on the other had one really needs to plan well. Too much to see and explore in the entire region, need more time.
Will definitely return.
We were greeted with a glass of fine wine and the host helped us with our luggage.
Location is very nice (still Tokaj is a small town), we had a room with common terrace with a view.
Breakfast was cheap, nice and served in a wine cellar (which was a really nice experience).
Car park is small indeed, but it wasn't a problem to park a car.
The apartment was idelly located to explore the Tokaj region. Dora and Peter were wonderful hosts. Peter gave us a gret tour of his cellar and a free tasting. The apartment was clean and fresh, quiet and comfortable. Parking was easy. A short stroll into the village for restuarants. I highly recommend this property.
New and clean hotel, it has the best location in the city. Most of the crew are polite and kind.
The food was delicious, we liked the selection of the breakfast buffet as well.
The two saunas and the pool were enough for us, it wasn't too crowded.
Location and privacy. Spa super nice. Staff very friendly. Great cocktails as well. I liked the eco friendly apporch. No single use items at spa, the restaurant or in the rooms and only easy, mostly local, low maintenance plants landscape outside.
If you are staying in Tokaj there is no need to look any further for a place to stay. Close to the town center and in a quiet location. Dora and Peter speak fluent English (if that is helpful for you, it was for us). Comfortable and clean.
Localization is perfect, in the heart of Tokaj. The staff was very helpful and very kind. Design of the room is wonderful, luxury vintage in the best version. 😀 Ratatui for the breakfast was delicious.
Polecamy z całego serca :)
It's in the middle of Tokaj with a private parking space, which is great. The rooms are huge and comfortable. Breakfast could have been a bit more variety. In general I expected a castle according to the name but it was not.
Beautiful quiet location in the heart of Tokaj. Extremely friendly host, clean quiet apartment. Enjoyed every second of our stay. You must visit their family winery Himesudvar which is located down the street.
Food was amazing, especially the a la cart dinners.
The hotel is beautiful and we enjoyed the spa and pool spaces a lot.
They even have some e-bikes we could use to go wine tasting in the village!
The staff were very friendly, hard working, and attentive. Perfect location in the center of Tokaj. Good kitchen, particularly for breakfast and dinner. Be sure to try their own wines.
Very Accomodant Staff and helpful as we ask additional services without any trouble. Thanks Tamas for all. Location in the Tokaj Center with lots of restaurants nearby.
The location is great close to wineries, museums and restaurants. The place itself seems to be repaired relatively recently so it was pretty comfortable.
