We loved everything about the hotel - from it's listed status, tasteful renovation and beautifully preserved floor tiles. It has the sweetest little roof patio and another larger area at the ground floor rear. The rooms and windows are wonderfully sound proofed. The staff, friendly, warm, welcoming yet quietly unobtrusive. The lobby snacks & drinks are quite sufficient, as the hotel is only one street away from the beach - a 2 minute walk to as many bars and restaurants as you will ever need. Highly recommended!
This charming, traditional-style hotel is situated in the heart of the old town of Bellaguarda-Altea, just a 5-minute walk from the Costa Blanca seafront.

The view from the lounge window across the bay was lovely. The breakfast tray in the morning was amazing. We bought sandwich bags and made a picnic lunch from it as there was so much lovely food on it. The staff were very friendly. The location was perfect. Only a short walk to the old town and 15mins walk to the beach and the long promenade and tram station.

I liked nothing, attention is a disaster. I made a mistake when booking the room and asked only for a date change and they did not accept it, they kept my money and treated me in a disrespectful tone.

Altea is a beautiful location with a classic white-washed mediterreanean "old town" and a lovely beach. It seems like a popular tourist destination, and restaurant and hotel staff are very helpful, friendly and gracious. Although many Spaniards eat dinner very late in the evening, I appreciated that Altea's restaurants are available to visitors seeking earlier meal times!

It's a nice town to visit if you are in Alicante and looking for a weekend break. The old town has character. Prices are more expensive than other places in Spain though and it seems to attract wealthier people. Avoid the over expensive restaurants near the top of the old town. Valor is a nice Spanish cafe for churros and coffee. Overall it's a nice spot.

Altea is a beautiful location rising above the coastline to the stunning Old Town. Plenty of restaurants to choose from both along the promenade and within the Old Town. Locals are very friendly and there is a reasonably good taxi service. Train runs from Denia to Benidorm at hourly intervals and is very reasonable.

Altea is absolutely stunning.
Altea is absolutely stunning. A lot of work has been done to support the seafront and they have done a magnificent job. The seafront is full of lovely bars and restaurants. The old town is whitewashed, rambling and vibrant. The shopping is great both mainstream and artisan. Altea is truly the jewel in the Costa Blanca’s crown.

Great place and now the Promenade has been totally renewed it is wonderful and lovely for walking on.
Has a great church and so picturesque and well worth the walk up to it with all the quaint streets of the Old Town.
Brilliant cafes and Bars and a very good choice and all tastes carered for.
We loved our stay at Casa Carmen. The house is located right in the old town area of Altea on a picture perfect street. The rooms were quiet, the beds very comfortable, and the kitchen well-equipped. We spent every evening before dinner sitting on the rooftop area looking at the mountains. We walked to the beaches every day and to the town for dinners. Just a wonderful place to stay - and we will definitely return.
The hotel is an lovely little boutique hotel which is actually on the Altea Tram station. We arrived and left by train, so bang on.
the owner Alex is lovely and friendly and is on hand to help out.
the hotel has lots of new art everywhere as it has links with the locally uni.
the rooms were modern and clean with a great bathroom
the breakfast was great which was had on the cantina adjacent
A great location in Altea Hills with a fantastic view on the coastline. The nicely decorated apartment is located on a private domain with a parking garage (high enough incl rooftopbox) and big swimming pool. We really enjoyed the comfort of the apartment which had everything you need and more. Very clean and qualitative. We really enjoyed the morning and evening view. A 5 star experience!
Excellent big hotel with beautiful views over the sea, just outside the lovely old town of Altea. A favourite with professional cycle teams in the winter. The only catering we sampled was the fantastic breakfast. Staff very efficient and friendly. Great value for the standard of this hotel.
Room was spotless and well kept Bathroom was very spacious I had a side room with view of the beach from the Balcony
All the staff were very nice helpful and friendly its a good value Hotel, We walked into Altea in15 Minutes a Taxi back was €7
I would highly recommend Hostal El Trovador
We were really comfortable here for 3 weeks in July/August. 3 good sized bedrooms. Really well equipped kitchen. Small pool for cooling off. 2-3 minutes to the old town which is lovely. 10-15 minutes to the beach. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops near by. Really enjoyed.
Let's say it's a special place for better or for worse. It's not really a hotel (more like renting a room in a villa). It gives you a glimpse on how rich people live in one of those magnificent villas in Costa Blanca. The views are unique and the rooms are very nice.
Location was perfect, close to the pebble beach and lots of restaurants and cafes. The hotel was also very close to the beautiful old town within 10 minutes and plenty to see along the way! We also enjoyed the promenade and the beautiful view from our balcony.
A great walkable location to get to the beach boardwalk 1 direction and to old town the other direction. We loved the unique mix of open home traditional front and rarely experienced cave back half. Photos accurately represent property. We loved it.
First of all the place were perfectly clean, the staff especially Sara were amazing people, very helpful, kind, always with a smile. Gave a lot of tips what to do around Altea. Breakfast were delicious. All the best words to this Hotel!
Very nice 4 star hotel not far from Altea’s center. Great common areas and enjoyable pool. The gym is great. Staff goes beyond to make your stay special.
