A great place. You can feel the heart beat of pious hindu sentiment here. Do not miss the Ganga Arti. The high point of Haridwar. Ganga is the main and only attraction here. Haridwar is a must one time visit.
Haridwar is a must one time visit. If you are not visiting for any specific purpose or it’s your first visit, strictly avoid any religious festival. It is very very crowded at those times. There are many places to visit nearby so plan for 3-4 days. Har ki peri, Mansa devi temple,Chandi devi temple , Rishikesh are some places to visit not to miss Ganga Arti at Har ki peri. Wonderful place only spoilt by the priests who claim to do prayers for you only to try and fleece you of as much money as they can get out of you. Stay clear of all the priests and sadhu's, they are not interested in you welfare or benefit other then taking your money, just walk away from them, especially in Hari ki Paudi. We visited Chandi Devi Mandir via cable car and Mansa Devi mandir, please buy the FastTrack ticket it will get you in both places without queuing. Dont let anybody at the Mansa Devi tell you they can get you FastTrack if you already have the ticket, just another ploy to get your money.

They all went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The hotel is excellent, having a private ghat is a bonus. The property is heritage in true essence. It is very well maintained. If I ever visit Haridwar will be staying at Devnadi and will be recommending it to my family and friends. It is surely worth the money.
