Roscoff is an attractive small seaside town with a ferry terminal just on the outskirts. Its a wonderful introduction to typical Breton ambiance. Plenty of places to eat traditional Breton food such as galettes and moules. A selection of small shops to browse but no supermarket. ( Nearest is in St pol de Leon) all within walking distance of each other.

We only tend to stay in Roscoff overnight before catching the ferry but there is enough history, good eating, good views and vibes to extend for a second night. It is a lovely little port which boasts a seriously good exotic garden to rival London's Kew Gardens making it a wonderful place to chill.

We have loved Roscoff for many years.
We have loved Roscoff for many years. There is always something to see; just watching the tide changing and the glorious sunsets in the Autumn is uplifting. We have watched the growth of the restaurant L'Ecume des Jours with interest for many years; we have never had a poor meal there. Other good restaurants abound, so there is plenty of choice. The shops are looking up after the effects of the pandemic and are very welcoming. The tourist office has good and useful information about events. A visit to Isle de Batz is a must. The Exotic Garden is fascinating.

It is a beautiful port town, steeped in history.
It is a beautiful port town, steeped in history. Lots of excellent eateries and cafes. The long causeway / pier makes a very pleasant refreshing walk. The Marie Stewart creperie is excellent and reasonably priced, as is the creperie de la poste. Le Pause is very good for a baguette and coffee, cakes and ice creams. Ty Pierre is always our first port of call - a welcoming cafe/ bar overlooking the port.
It is easy to walk around Roscoff and the church is well worth a visit. Driving around has become increasingly difficult with new/ additional one-way systems, which can make disabled access difficult.
I would definitely avoid theTabac/Cafe de la Presse. The lady owner was extremely rude and man-handled me (to the extent of bruising my arm) away from the counter when I was trying to explain to her shop assistant what I wanted to purchase from the window. We have visited the same shop many times over some 15 years and patronised it well, so I was really shocked to be treated this way.
Another must is a visit to the Ile de Batz which lies a short distance off-shore, You can hire a bicycle and tour the island or just enjoy the boat ride over and back for a drink / meal.
This hotel is in an excellent position away from the busy area but just a short walk to the port area. The building is old with loads of charm. Facilities were excellent with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. The lady on reception was very helpful and helped us store our bikes. She also booked a table for us at a very nice restaurant in the town. This is the second time this happened on this trip and something I have never experienced before on my trips to France!
The location to the old town and the view we’re both excellent. we enjoyed watching the very late sunset in the lounge area since it was almost mid summer. The breakfast was very good value and delicious with plenty of choices: fresh baguette, croissants, toast, eggs, fruit, yogurts, cereal… The hotel is impeccably clean. There was a nice shower and everything worked well. The hotel staff were very accommodating. We will be back.
The hotel were very understanding when I had a ferry cancellation. The place is delightful, with its nautical theme and superb views from the breakfast room. I had (as expected) a room at the back which overlooked old houses and gardens and beautiful pine trees. It really is a lovely place with a cheerful atmosphere and the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. It will be my first choice for a return to Roscoff.
THE HOTEL AND STAFF WAS FANTASTIC.
THE STAFF WAS AS HELPFUL AS THEY COUD BE.
MY WIFE, HAS MOBILITY PROBLEMS, AT THIS MOMENT, THE STAFF ACTUALLY GAVE US A MORE ACCESSIBLE ROOM FOR MY WIFE.
THEY WENT BEYONDTHE MARK TO ACCOMMODATE OUR NEEDS.
THE LOCATION IS PERFECT TO EXPLORE ROSCOFF AND ROSCOFF IS A VERY PRETTY VILAGE.
WE ARE GOING BACK, FOR SURE.
Location was the reason we chose to stay here; within a few metres of being in the town. It is on 2 floors, the lower above the landlord's shop, the upper without adjoining buildings, so not worried about any noise. Great views, so you could determine state of tide (beaches a big reason for choosing Roscoff, as we have young kids) Facilities good.
The room was exceptionally clean and nicely furnished. The location of Hotel Regina is great for visiting Roscoff, being slightly away from the main tourist area, and so much quieter than town centre alternatives. The hotel is basic, but very welcoming. Being able to park the car at the rear of the hotel was an unexpected and welcome boost!
Our booked room type was unavailable but we were upgraded at no extra cost. The room was superb. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both were excellent. Staff were efficient and friendly. The location in Roscoff was perfect. Will certainly use this hotel again.
Staff very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were able to check in early which was great after coming off the ferry. The hotel is a short walk to Roscoff centre and also a short walk to a sandy beach.
Breakfast not good value for money. Coffee was the worst we tasted in France .Home made bread was so hard and tasteless.
Rooms were fine and the sheets were clean but the floor was very dusty.
This is a really comfortable and well located hotel. The staff were very friendly. If you care about food then you will love the organic breakfast, best we had in our travels through France.
Juliet was incredibly kind and welcoming. The house is really beautiful and our room lovely. Breakfast was really wonderful. Roscoff is a beautiful town and we loved our short visit.
Fantastic location, beautiful sea views, and comfortable furnishings. A peaceful retreat in central Roscoff, close to the coast as well as restaurants, cafes, and shops. Loved it!
Very handy for the ferry...just a 7 minute drive from the ferry port. Also handy for Roscoff Town which is a very pretty little town.
It was very clean and stylishly furnished.
