A very nice town but becomes very quiet out of season (I went after the Summer school holidays had ended). The area was great for walking and cycling and was an easy drive to Noirmoutier, Saint Jean de Monts or, about an hour's drive away, Les Sables d'Olonne. The town was very easy to get around and had a very nice main beach. There are plenty of quieter beaches north and south of the town, if that is your preference. There is a very good SuperU supermarket in the town and two very good boulangeries. Compared to other towns I have stayed in, I found some of the prices for food and drink quite high but, I suppose, that is par for the course nowadays.KevinUnited Kingdom

The location is the best thing about this hotel; 15 minutes walk down a track through woods to a large sandy beach. This, plus the pool in summer would make it a great place for a holiday with small children.Sarah MagnardFrance
