Professional yet warm and friendly hosts that made us feel comfortable. The rooms are spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished and the facilities are exactly what we wanted. Much attention to safety and environmental aspects that provide a sense of security and serenity. Highly recommended and I will definitely be back. Thank you Tommy and Leonie ❤️

Port Elizabeth is a beautiful coastal city with miles of beaches and is true to its nickname the Friendly City. The older parts in Central have stunning views and buildings but unfortunetaly the local government has allowed it to become neglected, uncared for and in some places dangerous. What a pity, as the old centre with its harbour views and gracious historical buildings should be the gem of the city. That said, there are still other places worth a visit as property owners in the central area really make an effort to keep their properties well maintained and in the spirit of what it used to be. There are many restaurants and my favourites are the local ones, each with their own vibe and unique menus. I just love Port Elizabeth.

Gqeberha to give its official name is a fairly relaxed place...

Gqeberha to give its official name is a fairly relaxed place as largish cities go. It has great beaches though you need to be prepared for windy weather that can reduce the fun of being on a beach. There is a lot of history, with interesting sites to visit. Also some great food options. It is not the country’s top tourist hot spot but has plenty of attractions that are in any case better enjoyed without a massive crowd.

We liked everything about the place.

We liked everything about the place. The owner waited for us because our check in time was delayed buy our bus for about 30+ min. Our child loved the set up very much. The privacy we got was excellent. I would recommend Peradise in the City to anyone who visits Port Elizabeth!👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Being at Port Elizabeth was the best holiday I ever had.

Being at Port Elizabeth was the best holiday I ever had. I wish to see myself going there again. The cottage I booked was perfect and next to everything that I was looking for. Sea views, restaurants, casino and mall. I was able to walk less than 5min to the beach.I enjoy being at Brodwalk mall and opposite the mall is a sea. I went to Cofi restaurants and the food was delicious 😋 Mantshwanyana Mabaso from Lefiso Mpumalanga, leaving in gauteng Silverton .

It was a great starting point for a tour of the Garden Route...

It was a great starting point for a tour of the Garden Route and a private guided tour to the Addo Elephant National Park. Unfortunately the weather was awful and the icy wind drove me crazy. If you like a windy town, then this is the place for you! There is not much of interest to see, but that is because I'm an incredibly fussy traveller and because I am more interested in swimming in the ocean than anything else. It might be a great place for other tourists.

Modern Rooms is in Humewood, a suburb of Port Elizabeth quite far from the center (>3km), but close to the beaches. The location is safer than downtown and not as neglected. Accommodation is very basic, but has all necessary facilities such as WiFi (worked well), hot shower, shared kitchen and washing machine. The lift to the 6th floor was operating (warning: when there is a powercut, you might get stuck). Security is good (there is a watchman guarding the premises also at night). The place is kept clean. More privacy than in a dorm.

Everything. We stayed in the Cottage which is situated in a very quiet part of Summerstrand and is spotlessly clean. Jo and Allen are fantastic hosts and very friendly and professional. We have travelled all over the world and stayed in many 5 * hotels and Admiralty Beach House compares very favourably with the best. The breakfast was cooked to order and really good and we will, if we visit PE again, definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely 1 night stay at Lullaby House Air B&B while we were in Port Elizabeth on a business trip. The room was clean, neat and comfortable with a wonderful view of the sea from the balcony. There was enough parking space for vehicles and the house from the outside was beautiful. Definitely value for money and the staff were friendly and professional.

The Treetops Guesthouse is a really cute hotel super close to the Port Elizabeth airport (5 minutes by car). The host welcomed us with a warm smile and lots of recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We sadly didn't stay long enough to enjoy the pool in the nicely decorated garden.
